Mind Mapping & Organisation

Practical training in MindView, MindManager and MindGenius — helping you plan reports, structure projects and export maps into Word, PowerPoint or task lists.

Turning ideas into structured documents and plans

Mind-mapping software helps when starting a long document or planning a complex project feels overwhelming. You can capture ideas in any order using keyboard shortcuts, rearrange branches visually, attach notes or files to each topic, and export the finished structure into Microsoft Word with headings in place (where your product and edition support Word export).

Each software package is taught in its own dedicated session (our standard booking is a three-hour half-day per package, and shorter sessions for an individual package are available on request), delivered remotely across the UK or on site by arrangement, with two weeks of follow-up support included with every training package.

What you'll practise

  • Capturing main branches and sub-branches quickly with keyboard shortcuts
  • Adding text notes, priorities, dates and attachments to branches
  • Using focus modes and outline views to reduce visual clutter
  • Exporting maps to Word, PowerPoint or project outlines and saving reusable templates

Tools covered

  • MindView: planning reports, essays and projects as a mind map, then exporting the structure to Word, PowerPoint or Excel
  • MindManager: mapping projects and processes, with tasks, notes and links attached to each branch
  • MindGenius: breaking ideas and plans down visually, then turning them into tasks or a structured document
