What is Access to Work?

Access to Work is a UK government scheme that provides grants to help pay for practical support if you have a disability or health condition that affects your work. The scheme can fund up to £66,000 per year to help with workplace adjustments.

This includes assistive technology equipment, training, and ongoing support to ensure you can perform your job effectively and independently.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Have a disability or health condition that affects your work
  • Are in paid employment, self-employed, or about to start a job
  • Work or plan to work 16+ hours per week on average
  • Are aged 16 or over
  • Live in England, Scotland, or Wales

The scheme covers both permanent and temporary conditions, and you don't need to have a formal disability diagnosis to apply.
