About AAT Solutions

AAT Solutions Ltd provides assistive technology training, workplace technology support and accessibility services. We train people to use the technology that makes work possible: screen readers and magnification; speech recognition and dictation; reading, writing and mind-mapping tools for people with dyslexia or ADHD; and workplace productivity and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

We also audit websites and systems against accessibility standards, and help organisations understand disability through training built on lived experience. Registered in England and Wales (company number 16759868) and based in Worcester, we work remotely across the UK and on site by arrangement.

Who we work with

We support individuals, employers, schools, colleges, healthcare teams and public-sector organisations across the UK. Our training covers both workplace adjustments funded through Access to Work or an employer, and direct bookings for individuals and teams.

How we work

• Written quotes, usually within two working days, in a clear format for Access to Work and procurement teams.
• A separate training session for each software package: our standard booking is a three-hour half-day per package, and shorter sessions for an individual package are available on request.
• Two weeks of follow-up support included with every training package.
• Remote across the UK, or on site by arrangement.
• You will know who is delivering your training before your sessions begin.
• Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
• Safeguarding and DBS information is available on request where relevant to the work.

Our founder

AAT Solutions was founded by Aj Ahmed, an assistive technology specialist who is blind and has relied on screen-reading technology every working day for more than thirty years. Before founding the company, he captained Great Britain's blind football team at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

Aj's career spans assistive technology training, software testing, product management and leading technical support, including many years working with Dolphin, the company behind SuperNova. He has trained professionals across the public sector, healthcare, courts, local government and education.

In 2024 he added formal certifications in JAWS, ZoomText, SuperNova, Guide Connect and EasyReader, combining daily lived experience with manufacturer qualifications.
