Our Commitment

AAT Solutions is committed to making this website accessible and easy to use for disabled people, including screen-reader users, keyboard-only users, people using screen magnification or speech recognition, and low-vision readers.

Compliance Status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we also check pages against Level AAA criteria where practical. We review changes in a browser using automated accessibility checks, manual keyboard and focus-order testing, and semantic structure and screen-reader compatibility reviews informed by founder Aj Ahmed's daily JAWS use. One known Level AAA exception is documented under Known Limitations below.

How This Website Supports Accessibility

We have built the website with the following practical features for visitors:

• Clear heading hierarchy and landmark regions (`header`, `nav`, `main`, `footer`) so screen-reader users can jump directly to sections
• A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page and full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
• Spoken page-change announcements for screen-reader users when moving between routes
• Inline links underlined as well as coloured, so links remain identifiable without relying on colour alone
• Accessible form labels, helpful hints, and an error summary on the contact form that moves focus cleanly without resetting your input
• Body text set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute to help low-vision readers distinguish similar characters, served directly from this site
• Prerendered HTML for every route so core page text and headings are present in the initial page response, while interactive controls (such as mobile menus, accordions and client-side form validation) use JavaScript
• Captioned video with keyboard-accessible playback controls on the home page

Known Limitations

We keep the following known limitations under review:

• Level AAA enhanced contrast on brand-pink elements: Our brand pink (`#d92672`) meets the WCAG 2.2 Level AA contrast requirement (at least 4.5:1 against white and light backgrounds), but does not reach the enhanced Level AAA 7:1 ratio for small text. Where brand pink is used for inline text links, we pair it with a permanent underline so links do not rely on colour contrast alone.
• Third-party verification widget: The BlockMark Cyber Essentials badge on our About page loads inside an embedded `iframe` from BlockMark's registry. We provide a direct text link beside the badge so you can verify the certificate without relying on the embedded widget.
