JAWS Training
Certified JAWS training delivered by specialists who rely on JAWS every working day — not trainers who learned it from a manual.
Training from lived fluency
JAWS is the world's most widely used screen reader, and it rewards being taught well. Our principal trainer is blind and has run his entire working life through JAWS for more than thirty years — email, documents, spreadsheets, the web, meetings. AAT Solutions added the official JAWS certification in 2024, putting formal credentials behind long practice. That combination matters: we teach the workflows that hold up under a real workload, not just the feature list.
We deliver for individuals, for employers arranging workplace support, and for Access to Work clients whose assessor has recommended JAWS training.
What the training covers
- First steps: speech settings, reading commands and the keyboard-first mindset
- Windows and Office: email, documents, spreadsheets and calendars done efficiently
- The web: headings, landmarks, forms mode and quick navigation that actually saves time
- Power features: Settings Center, dictionary entries, OCR, and JAWS scripts
- Braille display setup and daily use, where relevant
- Troubleshooting habits, so problems don't become blockers
How sessions work
Training is one-to-one and shaped around your job, your software and your starting point — we scope this in a free phone consultation first. Sessions run as half days or full days, remotely across the UK or on site by arrangement, and every training package includes two weeks of follow-up support for the questions that only appear once you're back at work.
Complete beginner? We'll build from the first keystroke. Experienced user? Tell us what slows you down and we'll fix exactly that.
