Quick Start
Understanding the Narrator key: Throughout this guide, you'll see references to the "Narrator" key (the Narrator modifier key). By default, this is Caps Lock or Insert. When you see "Narrator+R", you hold down Caps Lock (or Insert) and press R.
Start Narrator with Windows+Ctrl+Enter - it's built into Windows 10 and 11. Press Narrator+R to start reading continuously from the current position. Use H to jump between headings on web pages for quick navigation (H moves you to the next heading element, helping you quickly understand page structure). Press Narrator+F4 to get a list of all links on the current page. The Narrator key is Caps Lock or Insert by default.

Getting Started

- Press H to jump to the next heading, or Shift+H for previous
- Use number keys 1-6 to jump to specific heading levels (1 for h1, 2 for h2, etc.)
- Press K to move between links, Shift+K for previous
- Use F to navigate form fields, Shift+F for previous
